Loess Hills Media & Podcasts

For this full-scale launch of a new business, I partnered with Loess Hills Media & Podcasts to build their digital presence from the ground up. The project included strategic business development, SEO-driven content creation, and a clean, minimalist website design, all intentionally crafted to position the brand as a trusted leader in local podcasting.
Using Wix, I designed and built the site to be fully optimized for search, integrated Google properties for visibility, and connected their YouTube channel for seamless content distribution. I created all written content based on a clarified business and marketing strategy developed through our collaborative process.
To support lead generation, I wrote and designed The Podcast Planner, a branded downloadable resource that educates potential clients while helping build the email list. The site is visually supported with custom icons and illustrations that reflect the brand’s sleek and intentional aesthetic.
As with all projects, this was delivered as a turnkey solution, complete with client training and documentation to ensure they can confidently update and manage their own site moving forward, or continue with additional support as needed.

Mobilis Home Medical Equipment

Mobilis Medical came to me with an existing Shopify site focused only on product sales. To better reflect their full range of mobility solutions, I reimagined the site to position them as a trusted local provider, offering both equipment and personalized services.
I developed a clear site strategy and wrote all content to highlight not just the online store, but also Mobilis' expert services, veteran support, and 20+ years of experience. I designed and illustrated custom icons and visual elements to convey key offerings while maintaining brand consistency.
The new site is built to be easy for customers to navigate and is fully optimized for local and organic search, connecting with individuals actively seeking mobility solutions.

When Modern Cuts needed to launch fast, I delivered. With only a few days to transition from a traditional salon to her newly remodeled home studio, the client needed a site that could attract and convert immediately. We delivered a fully designed, SEO-optimized website in under one week.
I wrote all content, developed a cohesive retro-inspired design that matched her pre-ordered logo, and vectorized that logo from a photo to make it web-ready. I also illustrated custom icons to complement the style and unify the brand visually.
Beyond the website, I set up and optimized her Google Business Profile, connected Google Analytics and Search Console, and implemented local SEO strategies—including a fast-launch review campaign—to help her get found quickly and start booking new clients.

Commissioned by the Iowa SBDC in collaboration with Iowa State University and statewide economic development partners, this 28-page, high-quality printed publication is distributed to more than 5,000 key stakeholders across Iowa—including legislators, economic development leaders, colleges, and business organizations.
I managed the full creative execution, including layout, graphic design, and content strategy. The cover and most of the interior graphics were fully illustrated by me to give the publication a cohesive, modern, and visually engaging identity. I also developed original written content for special features, including an in-depth section on how Iowa businesses are using AI to adapt and grow.
This piece plays a vital role in showcasing the strength and impact of Iowa’s small business ecosystem and the partners who support it.

For Unique Boutique, I created a bold new brand identity including logo design, custom brand elements, and a fresh color palette that reflects the boutique’s personality and target audience. The rebrand was brought to life across all platforms, starting with a transformation of the existing Shopify site.
I restructured the website to serve as both an e-commerce platform and a local traffic driver, optimizing it for search and visibility in key geographic areas. To support long-term growth, I also developed a comprehensive 12-month marketing strategy.
This included a fully customized content calendar, over 50 branded social media templates, web banners, and campaign graphics, all designed to give the business a consistent and professional presence across digital channels.

The SBDC Small Business Planning Guide is a comprehensive 80+ page resource used by Small Business Development Centers across Iowa and nationally. Designed to guide entrepreneurs through the entire planning process, this resource equips users with the tools and knowledge needed to create a complete, strategic business plan.
I led the content strategy, layout, and instructional design, ensuring the guide is both practical and engaging. A key feature is the integration of AI throughout the guide, helping users understand how to leverage AI tools in research, planning, and content development.
This guide is also a core component of a national workshop I teach, extending its value beyond the page and into classrooms and training environments across the country.

Bell Putters

To help Bell Putters re-engage past customers and guide new buyers through the purchasing journey, I developed a comprehensive email marketing and lead generation strategy. This included a 12-month email and blog campaign designed to build trust, educate subscribers, and drive conversions.
I created two custom lead magnets: a downloadable PDF that explains different putter types and helps buyers choose the right one, and an interactive quiz that identifies each user’s putting style to recommend their best-fit putter. Both assets were designed to educate, engage, and increase email opt-ins.
Additionally, I designed a new suite of transactional emails, including purchase confirmations, abandoned cart flows, and onboarding sequences, all aligned with the brand voice and tailored to improve customer experience and retention.
